Brighton Schools Summer Camp is one of a kind!
Our camp is extremely active and FUN! We are looking to fill select positions for our awesome camp.
Who we look for:
Our camp teachers are ENERGETIC, READY TO PLAY and GET DIRTY. Brighton Camp teachers are responsible for the HEALTH AND SAFETY of all children at all times. Our teachers are responsible, team players who always go the EXTRA MILE.
General Description of the Positions:
Hourly positions are available for our Before & After Program and Summer Camp Teachers. All teachers are responsible for curriculum, lesson planning, program implementation, parent/ teacher communication, PLAYING with children, field trips, getting messy, water play and having a great time. We are year round and full day. SUMMER CAMP TEACHERS must be able to complete training prior to hire.
Our schools are very "can do". Our staff is trained, empowered and expected to perform to our standards on a daily basis. We believe in a very strong, team oriented approach to everything we do. Managers and staff alike are equally responsible in the classroom as well as out. We require high integrity, a positive attitude and professional presentation out of each of our valued team members:

Minimum Requirements to fulfill the position:
1.) Meets minimum preparation and experience required as established for fully qualified Teacher in the California Day Care Centers Teacher Qualifications and Duties, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, Subchapter 3 Regulations.
( 12 Core Early Childhood Education units passed with A or B grade)
Child, Family & Community
Principals and Practicum / Culture and Diversity
Preschool Curriculum or Infant Care
OR Holds an AA , BA, or BS in Education, Recreation, ECE, or related field with extensive coursework in working with young children.
2.) Previous experience (1+ years) working in a licensed school age / summer camp program,
city recreation programs or elementary school classroom teaching.
3.) Drug and Alcohol Free- drug test (prior to employment).
4.) Pediatric CPR certified (prior to employment).
5.) Positive reference checks from last 3 employers.
6.) Ability to drive school 9 passenger vans if 21 or older.
7.) Professional appearance and dress.
Additional Preferred Requirements:
1.) Knowledge and understanding of the principals and practices of NAEYC
This position begins May 26th through August 8th 2017.
The position range in hours between 30 - 40. Overtime can be expected.
