This team develops and supports best-in-class automated machines, peripherals and subassemblies used in factories around the globe. This fast paced role involves cross-functional collaboration with other R&D teams and manufacturing to take products and solutions from concept through production release.

  • Execute the design of automated equipment, peripherals and relevant electromechanical subsystems

  • Prepare cost estimates and design products to meet cost and profitability targets

  • Utilize Design for Six Sigma and FMEA and other structured processes to ensure robust product performance and predictable project execution

  • Complete design projects within established schedules and budgets.

  • Lead and participate in design reviews; thoroughly assessing the ability of proposed designs to meet specified requirements, including manufacturability, reliability, sustainability and commercial viability

  • Interact closely with software, systems, and electrical engineering functions to develop comprehensive solutions to design problems

  • Conform to the requirements of ISO 9001 standards for design and development

  • Apply technical insight and judgment for technology assessment and problem solving for new products and support sustaining activities for existing products

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required

  • Understands systems engineering, electrical, control systems, mechanics, product development process, project management, manufacturing experience (BOMs, ECOs, NPI, vendor qualification and selection)

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in manufacturing and design

  • Strong technical judgment and problem solving skills, with a strong record of delivering products to market

  • Demonstrated application of engineering principles and techniques, in the area of machine design and robotics

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaborative design with in-house manufacturing and outsource partners worldwide


  • Must be committed, focused, respectful, and persistent

  • Auto-cad or Solidworks experience

  • Familiarity with CE-Mark compliance standards and ISO 9001:2015

  • Motion control experience and system design

  • Must be able to write programs for performance optimization

  • Must have an understand fundamentals of Electrical engineering

  • Be a fast learner, with excellent problem-solving skills

  • Understanding of robotics and mechatronics
