POSITION SUMMARY

The Tribal Consulting Project Manager is responsible for all consulting contract work oversight, development, implementation and management. The position works closely with the Chairman/CEO, President, HR, Subject Matter Experts, Sr. Strategists and Strategists. The Tribal Consulting Project Manager is responsible for business development outreach with an effort to obtain and maintain project contracts. The Project Manager must work with team members to ensure that consulting contract work is executed efficiently and communicate with clients to ensure that final deliverables are met in addition to identifying and developing relationships with new clients. The selected individual will have strong management, team coordination and communication skills.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Tribal Consulting Project Manager will have a range of responsibilities and duties that generally to include:

Operations & Contract Management

· Provide Project leadership and oversight

· Work onsite with team on assigned projects

· Staff development support and recommendations

· Assure project deliverable consistency

· Set and approve overall project direction, expectation, and strategy including, team involvement and project timeline

· Select SME and determine involvement or role within the project

· Overall financial responsibility for project profitability including the scope of work estimates and management of internal timeline and resources

· Project launch planning and coordination with staff

· confirm team resources and work plan with team and client

· Onboard SME(s): contracting, fees, setting initial project and role expectations

· Conduct analysis of data related to ongoing business development and consulting contract work

· Coordinate and facilitate consulting contract meetings with clients

· Develop effective deliverables as needed including final presentations and case studies

· Participate in and Support client presentations

· Provide support to consulting contract leaders, Human Resources, Subject Matter Experts, Sr. Strategists, and Strategists

· Present information to a range of audiences

· Participate in Team debrief call(s) to identify opportunities for team and project improvement

Research & Analysis

· Provide industry and project specific knowledge

· Conduct financial analysis and forecasting and develop financial models

· Remain up-to-date on current events in Indian County and with Client Tribes

Business Development & Relationship Management

· Leadership client outreach relationship management

· Cultivate existing and new tribal client relationships

· Maintain database of current and potential relationships

· Assist in RFP outreach and developing project proposals

· Develop tribal outreach plans to introduce Blue Stone Strategy Group to targeted Tribes

COMPETENCIES

It is expected that the Project Manager will have extensive experience in the following areas

· Project Operations

· Contract Management

· Assuring the scope of work is performed on each project

· Research and Analysis

· Willingness and ability to travel to multiple locations throughout each year

· Business Development and Relationship Management

· Knowledge of Native American governments, tribal casinos and tribal business operations and organizations

· Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and strong attention to detail

· Identify and resolve challenges throughout each project

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

· Masters of Business Administration degree MBA, Master in Public Policy MPP, Master in Public Administration MPA, or other relevant advanced degree from an accredited college or university, in lieu of an MBA, a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of related experience and or any other combination of education and experience may be considered.

· At least five years relevant consulting contract work experience, preferably with Native American Tribes or Native organizations

· Experience in tribal or other government services, economic development, organizational management consulting or human resources.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, project management software, and database software

· Proficiency in Google applications
