The Solutions Architect is responsible for identifying and matching technology opportunities with the customer’s business issues and objectives, as well as channel partner training and enablement. The SA is a high impact, very prominent role responsible for establishing Blue Medora as a leader in enterprise monitoring within assigned territories.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Maintain technical expertise related to Blue Medora’s product offerings, including vRealize Operations, Oracle Enterprise Manager, New Relic, and our new SaaS offerings.

  • Document and understand customer requirements and demonstrate how Blue Medora’s solutions meet those requirements.

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and partners within your territory.

  • Act as pre and post sales technical resource to outside sales team within your territory.

  • Provide guidance to sales team for scoping and quoting of customer requests

  • Deliver online presentations and demos to prospects with specific challenges, aligning the message and product capabilities with their challenges

  • Provide assistance with trial qualification, installation, configuration and troubleshooting.

  • Represent Blue Medora solutions by conducting live demos, webinars, and speaking engagements

  • Actively participate Blue Medora’s social marketing efforts (blogs, tweets, LinkedIn posts, etc)

  • Create product documentation for both external and internal audiences and perform competitive analysis on other competitive offerings

  • Special projects as required


  • Technical expertise in one or more of the following:

    • Application virtualization

    • Server virtualization

    • Enterprise monitoring / event management

    • Enterprise operations

  • Ability to maintain technical relationships within all levels of a customer organization

  • Knowledge of technical sales techniques, including ability to understand customer requirements, overcome objections, and technically close deals.

  • Flexible, dependable, and a self-starter

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present

  • Reside in California, preferably San Francisco bay area or Los Angeles area.

  • Ability to travel, primarily within territory (50% Travel)

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of technical sales or services experience
