Associate Creative Director - Motion Graphics

We are seeking an Associate Director for Motion Graphics to join our team!

Our perfect candidate has extensive experience delivering fully realized motion graphics pieces that combine any number of source materials, including; digital illustration and design, 3D content, photo / video footage, voice-over, music and sound design. These projects cover a wide range of industries, from new product launches and explainer videos to industry keynote presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality motion content that demonstrates a high-level of quality and proficiency, and continues to elevate the standards of our studio
• Coordinate with both internal and external resources for development of content, and work closely with Creative Directors and Producers
• Take ownership of projects, acting as a creative lead on projects from start to finished and managing internal team members contributing to the project
• Create eye-catching graphics and engaging designs that appropriately articulate the story in unique and compelling ways
• Develop proposals and concept decks for new project work
• Strong presentation skills for delivering concepts to our internal team as well as directly to clients and partner agencies
• Mentor peers and interns as needed
• Maintain a flexible schedule and positive attitude during the standard work-day as well as throughout those projects that require non-traditional hours

Qualifications:

• 7-10 years of professional animation or motion graphics experience
• Creative Team management skills and positive client relation skills are a must have
• Previous experience in graphic design, illustration or other related fields
• A self-starter with exceptional problem solving skills, and can handle "late breaking" changes and client "curve balls"
• Strong animation skills with an understanding of advanced animation principles that demonstrate a proficiency in the craft
• Experience working with audio; including voice-over, music and sound design
• Highly proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite based graphic applications, with particular focus on After Effects, Audition, Photoshop and Illustrator, and comfortable working in a Mac based environment
• Experience with 3D applications such as Cinema 4D, Maya and any relevant 3rd party render engines (CPU and GPU based)
• Digital design and layout skills needed to produce storyboards and digital key-frames
• Deadline and detail-oriented, strong time management of production workflow from inception to final render
• Ability to clearly communicate between team members and take direction from creative leads - we appreciate people who bring ideas to the table and are ready to collaborate!
• Finds inspiration and shares it with the team, always looking for ways to make us grow stronger

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with third-party plugins, such as; Trapcode Particular / Form, Newton, X-Particles (C4D), and Mocha
• Experience with Unity 3D and C# development
• App development and deployment
• Illustration (Digital / Mixed-media)
• Appreciates random Pop culture references

Compensation will be offered based on experience and responsibilities.
