     OverviewThe Catering & Events Coordinator is responsible for developing relationships with all clients looking to host social events at AAC. He/She will work to secure events and will provide detailed event orders in a timely fashion to the food and beverage team. He/She will establish a collaborative relationship with the banquet team and will together work to execute each event with the highest level of attention to detail and professionalism. The catering and events coordinator will be responsible for taking each lead through the planning, execution and close out process. He/she will assist in all areas as assigned, enlivening the “Everything Matters” motto, and maintaining the high standards of the AAC. The Catering & Events Coordinator will be highly visible and interact with the host/member for each event. Key ResponsibilitiesHost professional meetings with members, clients and prospects and guide each through the planning process.Plan and produce detailed event orders for all events social in nature (i.e. birthday parties, baby showers, weddings and non-profit galas).Assist the Catering Director in acquiring new clients through marketing efforts.Serve as liaison for all league tennis and women’s golf association events.Close out events with billing, thank you letter and survey requests.Responsible for up-to-date information on the Main Event Board and communication of daily changes to food and beverage team.Prints and distributes the weekly event packet. Experience and EducationCollege degree or pursuit of a college degree preferred.Strong track record of progression and growth, with a background in hospitalityComputer literate, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and POS systems.Ability to relate to, communicate with, and motivate employees to sustain high performance and quality levels.Ability to read and interpret multiple documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, financial documents, professional journals and procedure manuals.Ability to write complex reports and correspondence.Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse and interact with individuals from all walks of life and put them at ease.
