Our healthcare providers include a diverse group of members such as pediatricians, psychologists, licensed professional counselors, licensed clinical social workers, and psychometrists.

Mind Works specializes in children between the ages of 3 to 17 years and their caregivers. This is accomplished through an integrated healthcare approach to treatment that includes psychological, educational, developmental assessments; evidenced based psychotherapy; and medication assisted treatment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides a full range of psycho-diagnostic services including the use of psychological testing and assessment measures
  • Performs psychological evaluations for children with mental health disorders for purposes of diagnostic clarification and treatment planning recommendations
  • These evaluations employ a comprehensive diagnostic interview, review of available records, collateral contact when available, as well as objective, and cognitive tests when indicated
  • Consults with and serves as a resource for other professional personnel concerning the need for evaluation and development of psychological services
  • Attends, participates, and collaborates in treatment team meetings and/or professional staff conferences with other pediatricians, psychologists, and clinicians for an effective and coordinated treatment plan
  • Meets ethical obligations for timely documentation of rendered services per State of Texas
  • Creates and provides educational outreach presentations regarding mental health-related topics and issues
  • Per state licensure and/or certification requirements, participates in continuing education and professional development activities related to the performance of job functions and maintenance of skills in one’s professional specialty area
  • Seeks consultation from peers and leadership for difficult clinical cases.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with care providers, patients, and their family members to efficiently address assessment concerns
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, education, or a mental health-related field preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree with a psychometrist certification in lieu of a Master’s degree
  • Psychometrist certification
  • At least one years of experience in a mental health setting
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination…may be entitled to an exemption based on an ADA disability
