American Support Telesales agents provide excellent customer service and sales expertise by responding to telecommunication or cable customers who have shown interest in products and package upgrades. They provide courteous problem solving, provide quality information and promote additional services. Agents may be taking inbound calls or making outbound calls as needed.
Shifts are typically established but must be flexible and applicants must be available to work 8 hour shift from 8:00 to 11:30PM EST. Shifts may include Saturdays.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Successful candidates will be able to: 1. Sign in and out for scheduled shifts at appointed times. 2. Use a computer terminal to access customer information and convey necessary information to customers. 3. Utilize probing questions to fit customers into packages that provide the best value for their needs. 4. Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers in person and in writing, face to face, on the radio, and over the telephone. 5. Retain information and make sound decisions. 6. Operate a PC and computer printer. 7. Set priorities schedule and/or reschedule service calls. 8. Acquire and maintain current up-to-date cable "product" knowledge (i.e., programming, promotions, etc.). 9. Provide, with appropriate persuasive communication skills, information on cable services and enhancements. 10. Create and maintain customer information (may receive/transmit/route/relay service call information to dispatch or directly to the service technician. 11. Complete other duties as assigned.
