The JOB COACH I is responsible for providing safe transportation for our member/client to and from programs, authorized events, and services in compliance with DES/DDD, DES/RSA, DOR/ADHS, State and Agency policies and regulations. The JOB COACH I is required to have behavioral management skills to facilitate appropriate interaction with the clients/members while they are being transported. The TRANSPORTER is responsible for maintaining Agency vehicles and assigned equipment according to the established standards for safety, security, and cleanliness.
Provide program transportation for authorized member/clients.
Meet the driving qualifications established by the State of Arizona.
Provide appropriate care to clients in a manner that considers safety first.
Participates in training in order to provide a safe structure for clients who are transported.
Provide quality client/member support.
Complete vehicle and client sign-in and out logs indicating provision of each billable service provided to clients and submits appropriate location within the estimated time frames.
Maintains Agency vehicles in a safe and clean condition.
Complete all mandatory training.
Performs other duties as assigned.
THIS POSITION HAS NO SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES.
This position may be exposed to HIPAA and confidential client information.
Must have the ability to identify essential job tasks.
This position must be able to clearly communicate with community contacts and with the general public regarding programs and services offered.
Ability to use general office equipment including computers, telephones and photocopiers.
Must be able to sit and/or walk and stand continually.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Have good communication skills.
Perform basic math functions (add/subtract/multiply/divide)
PROJECT PROFESSIONALISM and AMICABILITY towards all individuals and those with disabilities.
Must attend and become certified in CPR, FIRST AID within 60 days of hire.
Strong Attendance Required
BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A LEVEL 1 FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE CARD
High School Diploma or GED
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not mandatory.
At least one (1) year experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a social services setting preferred.

Pass background check inclusive of excluded provider list system (EPLS), Health and Human Services (HHS) and Excluded Individual Entities (LEIE)
Pass Hepatitis B/TB test
Any food handling certifications if working with food.
