We are seeking a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to become an integral part of our team! You will coordinate and oversee the organization's daily operations.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing growth strategies and plans within the Agency. Working with the CEO and the staff, the Business Development Manager serves on the Management Team, performing special projects for services, utilization, program expansion, projects and analyses. Working with the President/CEO, the Business Development Manager coordinates improvements and development of the organization’s business relationships and affiliations, while acting as liaison to the community and stakeholders. The Business Development Manager is responsible for ensuring that programs and functions are consistent with the organization’s stated goals and objectives and managing and retaining relationships with existing clients/stakeholders.

Responsibilities (partial):

  • Increasing stakeholders base in community
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
  • Writing business proposals
  • Negotiating with stakeholders
  • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
  • Researching business opportunities and viable income streams
  • Following industry trends
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts
  • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements
  • Attend Board and other committee meetings when required
  • Other jobs/duties as required.

Qualifications (partial):

  • Previous experience in operations or other related fields (familiar with State Contracts)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Bachelor’s degree with related courses in public administration, marketing and/or the human services/social sciences fields.
  • Requires at two (2) years’ progressively responsible experience in providing and administering social service programs. Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to develop, implement and supervise programs in a culturally sensitive manner; prepare budgets, communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and demonstrate knowledge of licensing requirements and program operations.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge: Excel Spreadsheet, Outlook (calendar and email), PowerPoint knowledge; Time Management knowledge and/or skills; ability to prioritize effectively; strong research skills; strong writing skills (English); strong verbal (English) skills; bilingual a plus but not necessary.
