We are seeking an ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST! The Accounting Specialist is primarily responsible for ACHIEVE’s Accounts Receivable (A/R) systems which include revenue recognition, billings, collections, and banking. The position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines. Advanced software skills including intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required. In addition, the Accounting Specialist will provide back-up support for both Payroll and Accounts Payable (A/P). Plus, other duties to be assigned.
Maintains the A/R modules
Provide support with A/P functions and Payroll
Prepare journal entries on a monthly basis
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Prepare and submit billing for the contracts with Arizona Department of Housing and DES/DDD
Verifies vendor accounts
Posts customer payments daily
Maintains collection process
Support for the financial audit preparation and audit process
Any other duties assigned
Two (2) years of experience in a business-related field with experience in computerized Accounting functions
Knowledge of common accounting practices
Strong computer, typing, and 10-key skills
High School Diploma/GED. Business related degree is preferred.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
