We are seeking a Sr. Product Manager to lead this process, engaging in product direction, setting realistic expectations for deliverables, understanding the balance between software and hardware development requirements, and ensuring our commitments are met.
As the Sr. Product Manager at AR, you will gather data and insights to establish the best product roadmap for success, continuously measure performance across numerous indicators to guide product improvements, and partner closely with our customer experience and technology teams to meet delivery commitments. You will ensure that product roadmap and prioritization decisions are made rigorously (guided by qualitative and quantitative data and analysis), rapidly (through rapid testing and learnings), and with alignment and collaboration across AR (by offering broad visibility and continuously seeking input across functions).
Develop a product strategy, roadmap and requirements for a new and rapidly evolving product category. Define the way forward for our products, as we define the future of frictionless retail.
Work closely with the global retail brands we’re partnered with to gain a detailed understanding of their business and the problems to solve.
Partner with our Design and Experience team, gain deep empathy and passion for the shoppers, and deliver the most convenient shopping experience.
Stay closely connected to our technology and teams to harness the potential of all inventions, understand constraints, and in the end, ground your product plans in reality, always getting buy-in on feasibility and velocity assumptions.
Document and evangelize the product roadmap(s) at varying levels within the organization, always tying product increments to clear success metrics, and getting buy-in from leadership along the way.
Maintain close communication with Business Development and Delivery teams to continuously ingest prospective and existing client feedback
Make yourself available to the technology teams for rapid input or feedback during development, and participate in the integration/testing to provide formal ‘acceptance’ of product increments before they are ‘shipped’.
Establish and maintain a Product Review process that enables rapid evaluation of new ideas for feasibility, scope, cost and trade-off’s based on prioritization and timing.
Travel to store locations, client sites, conferences and key stakeholder meetings both domestically and internationally.
5+ years of experience in a Product Management role, preferably in a retail, SaaS or highly technical industry.
Strong preference for Hardware lifecycle exposure as a Product Manager, especially for an evolving, dynamic product.
Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience developing and maintaining a Product Roadmap, consulting stakeholders, and prioritizing deliverables in consideration of team inputs
Talent for maintaining organization, able to deliver large business outcomes, while also staying engaged on specific tasks, jumping in to resolve day-to-day technical, logistical or other challenges.
Ability to communicate very effectively at all levels; able to obtain buy-in from stakeholders, articulate complex concepts with simplicity, and to drive alignment and effective decision-making efficiently.
Solve problems in a very pragmatic, transparent and collaborative manner, along with the ability to stay rational in decision making when presented with emotional arguments and client deadlines
Absorb new technologies quickly, and drive meaningful conversations with our engineers and scientists to find solutions.
