We are looking for an experienced and motivated Software Developer (Laravel/Vue) to join the development team in our Austin, Texas office. The Software Developer will be an integral part of developing new web applications and services using a modern development stack. The position will be responsible for managing new software projects from ideation to development to deployment, while working alongside our product managers on software requirements for new and existing software products. The Software Developer will be exposed to all functions of the business and will require someone comfortable thinking about applications using the microservices model, connecting to external APIs or building your own.


  • Develop, validate, automate and create innovative web-based software solutions and services for use by internal teams and customers, focused on business needs and ease of customer use
  • Maintain an organized codebase, version control process (using Git), and development environment
  • Test code using testing automation tools: unit tests, functional tests and acceptance tests
  • Collaborate with Project Manager to ensure software products are delivered on time and according to project plan
  • Efficiently troubleshoot issues, identify regressions and plan fixes
  • Document code and processes
  • Maintain a software changelog
  • Maintain company legacy applications and technologies
  • Work regularly with management to align expectations and deliverables
  • Understand industry trends and stay up to date on these trends to deliver solutions that give the company a competitive edge
  • Work across the different lines of business and across departments to ensure expectations and needs are met
  • Manage/assist in the creation, design and review of technical documentation of software products/solutions
  • Protect intellectual property by working appropriate legal elements (i.e. procurement, patents, open source)
  • Deliver products within budget, schedule and design/quality guidelines
  • Drive idea generation for new products and/or enhancements of existing products
  • Assist in the development of the company’s application management/program enrollment system
  • Continue to evolve and enhance application management/enrollment system to maximize performance and availability in order to meet the business’s growth requirement


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science preferred
  • 2-5 years of web development experience using Laravel, VueJS, MySQL, and Postgres
  • Experience and high level of proficiency on Git version control
  • Experience using ticket/issue tracking systems


  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven, team environment
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated to accomplish goals quickly and successfully
  • Strong communication skills with ability to effectively develop and communicate vision and strategy
  • Comfortable learning new tools, systems and technology
