The City of Jefferson City, Missouri seeks a savvy Director of Finance who can handle the core fiscal management responsibilities of a growing Midwestern city. Being the leader of the financial team, you will know your accounting principles and the full budgeting process end to end. You will advise staff and council on financial matters and review, analyze, interpret, and help develop solutions for various financial issues. Working as a team with council and other department directors will be a key priority for you.
With this professional position comes accountability that requires at least five years related experience along with an accredited Bachelors' degree (Masters preferred) in finance, accounting, public or business administration. Candidates moving forward will have management and leadership know-how; key traits responsible for maintaining effective working relationships; excellent public speaking skills; and the talent to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate sound financial systems, procedures, and programs of a municipal finance department.
Monthly salary is $6,551 - $9,827 DOQ, plus an excellent benefits package including paid health, dental and life insurance. Applications will be accepted until 5pm CST of November 6, 2012.
City directors must reside within the Jefferson City city limits within six months of hire.
