The Marketing Director is responsible for driving growth for 2020 On-site with B2B (HR administrators at corporations) and B2C (vision care patients) audiences to deliver and exceed both short and long term goals. In partnership with cross-functional team members and external agencies, you will be responsible for leading all elements of our marketing programs, from thoughtful strategy development through to implementation, analysis and optimization. You will be the gatekeeper and arbiter of the 2020 On-site brand, absorbing and communicating with the brand voice as if it were your own and overseeing all external communications for consistency and excellence in execution.
This role is for someone who is passionate about both brand and general management, thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and wants to have a big impact at a fast-growing company.
This position reports to the CEO.
Develop and execute both B2B and B2C marketing strategies and plans across all vehicles (SEO/SEM, CRM, PR, social, events, etc.) to deliver growth for 2020 On-site.
Generate top of funnel leads via prospecting and Inbound marketing, ensuring strong hand-off to sales team for follow-through.
Implement effective B2C marketing before, during and after a visit to the mobile vision center to drive strong growth in customers per visit and retail sales.
Author content for and execute lead generation and email drip campaigns, marketing collateral, website, blog, newsletter and social media postings.
Pro-actively analyze and interpret data on brand and program performance to generate insights and recommendations. Evaluate success of programs based on cost / benefit to the business.
Gather client and customer insights through quantitative and qualitative means and translate into brand recommendations and creative marketing plans.
Ongoing, assess competitive landscape to keep abreast of threats & opportunities. Develop plans to mitigate and maximize.
Role breakdown: 40% B2B Marketing, 40% B2C Marketing, 20% lead generation, sales support, collateral creation & research.
Skills & qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or other Master’s Degree preferred.
5-8 years relevant experience in B2B and/or B2C Marketing.
Experience has included most of the following: broad exposure to marketing tools and analytics (emphasis on SEO/SEM, CRM, HubSpot, Google Analytics), brand business planning, budget management, creative development, event marketing, agency management (creative, media, PR, digital, social), consumer research, e-commerce.
Strong strategic thinker with analytical chops to generate insights in support of recommendations
Able and willing to pivot from high level thinking appropriate for Board of Directors to management of marketing execution details.
Comfortable leading projects, agency and cross-functional partners with limited oversight.
Self-motivated, adaptable and fluid with change, able to lead action despite ambiguity.
At ease presenting to, interacting with and being challenged by senior leadership.
