Quality Engineer - Full-time, Permanent Hire

The Quality Engineer designs and installs quality control process systems, procedures and statistical techniques; designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanism and equipment; analyzes production limitations and standards; recommends revision of specifications when indicated; assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures; develops the economics of any quality control program when required. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, customer complaints response, customer approval processes (PSO, PPAP, etc.), and Problem Solving (MBF, Kaizen, Six Sigma).

  • Participate in development and implementation of new and existing programs through APQP process
  • Develop PFMEA
  • Control Plan
  • Flow Charts
  • PPAP
  • SPC
  • Evaluate and maintain the company quality program for compliance to customer standards and leading efforts to exceed expectations
  • Ensure compliance to existing procedures
  • Develop and/or revise existing procedures
  • Become familiar with customer specific standards
  • Assist team members in cross-functional teams as required
  • Participate in problem solving activities
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Product and process analysis with the ability to recognize and recommend new and emerging technologies and methods
  • Perform capability studies
  • Correlation studies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 -3 years’ experience related to quality engineering
