Which Weapons Do Armed Security Guards Carry

As an armed security guard, you may carry a variety of weapons; these include a handgun, such as a Colt 1911 or a Ruger-P series. You may also carry various non-lethal weapons, such as a baton, stun gun or taser, and pepper spray. Your responsibilities and duties include knowing how to carry and maintain these weapons and knowing how and when to use them, if necessary. You must complete various training, safety, and licensing courses to meet your state requirements for carrying these weapons on the job.
