What Qualities Make a Good Nurse PRN
A good nurse PRN is comfortable in a broad array of medical situations. Typically, nurse PRNs have to fill in for different nurses, and may not always have the same specialty. Also, a nurse PRN has to be more flexible with scheduling than a standard RN. Hours and days are not guaranteed, so the ability to adapt to changing sleep schedules is vital. As with all nurses, you must have a good bedside manner, be comfortable dealing with the occasional difficult patient, and good physical stamina.
