What Is a Mobile Therapist?

A mobile therapist provides psychological support and counseling in a client’s home, school, or another community setting outside of a medical clinic. As a mobile therapist, you may counsel a child, family, or particular demographic group. Your job duties include assessing a client’s needs, creating an individualized treatment plan, and using therapeutic techniques to help improve problematic thoughts or behavior. You may also work with a wide range of professionals, such as school personnel, medical staff, or psychologists, to provide coordinated care for your clients.
