What Does a Stockroom Clerk Do?

A stockroom clerk is responsible for receiving, unloading, marking, and stocking products in stores, warehouses, or stockrooms. In this career, you manage and organize products as they are delivered. You also verify shipping invoices with the inventory that has been delivered to and from the facility. Additional responsibilities are to perform clerical duties for the stock and storage rooms, maintain inventory, replace damaged products, keep records of sale, and complete customer orders. You are also expected to inspect the products as they arrive to ensure there are no damages to merchandise.
