A Carpenter actively participates in performing work to complete the assigned scope of work. A Carpenter represents Wolf Construction in the field to customers, subcontractors, vendors, employees, and other trades.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Actively works with tool bags on, in performing scope of work and should be considered competent at his craft (trim, framing, siding, roofing, etc.)
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Actively engages in work to accomplish scope of work
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Shows ability to be trained
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Shows willingness to follow directions
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Trouble shoots installation problems at hand and resolve issue as quickly as possible
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â From time to time, leads 1 or 2 Laborers in basic work activities
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Works in a safe manner
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Other duties as assigned

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ability to climb ladders, both extension and step
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Able to work from heights, such as scaffolding, forklifts equipped with baskets, and on multiple story buildings
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Able to perform basic construction, demolition, and cleanup activities with guidance from Foreman or Crew Lead
-         Ability to use hand tools such as hammer, cat’s paw, pry bar, speed square, utility knife, and chalk line
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ability to read tape measure to the nearest inch, half inch, quarter inch, and one-eighth inch marks (one-sixteenth- and thirty-second-inch marks for trim carpenters)

FRAMING SPECIFIC
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ability to proficiently use framing nail gun, worm-drive saw, reciprocating saw (Sawzall), and hammer drill.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ability to proficiently install a window
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ability to locate and proficiently install a hold down
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ability to layout and install stair stringers and landings
