About the RoleThe Scheduling & Operations Specialist serves as a core member of GLOBAL OPS' Security Operations Center (SOC). This role is responsible for real-time workforce coordination, attendance monitoring, escalation handling, and operational continuity across multiple client locations.
This position is designed for highly organized, decisive professionals who thrive in fast-paced, real-time environments. The Specialist plays a critical role in stabilizing daily field operations, ensuring coverage reliability, and serving as a central coordination point between field teams and leadership.
This is an operational command-support role.
Core Responsibilities1. Workforce Scheduling & Coordination- Assign daily and weekly shifts based on availability, qualifications, and operational needs
- Maintain optimal staffing levels while managing overtime exposure
- Communicate schedule updates clearly and promptly
- Make real-time adjustments to staffing plans as conditions change
2. Real-Time Attendance Monitoring- Track employee attendance and punctuality
- Monitor shift check-ins and verify coverage status
- Identify no-shows or late arrivals immediately
- Coordinate rapid response coverage for call-outs
3. Security Operations Center (SOC) Responsibilities- Verify visitor access requests in accordance with site protocols
- Grant or deny entry authorization based on established procedures
- Coordinate verification of mail and package inspections when required
- Issue real-time operational updates to field teams and management
- Maintain accurate logs of access decisions, attendance records, and escalations
- Monitor internal systems to ensure continuous operational visibility
4. Escalation & Incident Coordination- Serve as first point of contact for operational disruptions
- Escalate issues to Company Management when appropriate
- Document incidents and unusual occurrences accurately
- Maintain calm, professional communication during time-sensitive situations
5. Reporting & Documentation- Maintain detailed scheduling and attendance records
- Generate shift coverage reports
- Track trends in absenteeism and coverage gaps
- Support operational data tracking and improvement initiatives
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in scheduling, dispatch, workforce coordination, operations support, or similar fast-paced roles
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
- Experience in private security, logistics, dispatch, or workforce management preferred
