Workplace Capabilities Director
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Director of Workplace Capabilities to lead one of the most visible and transformative functions within our Global Workplace organization. This role sits at the center of how our physical environments are designed, delivered, and operated spanning capital project delivery, space planning and occupancy strategy, and the workplace technology ecosystem. The Director will have the unique opportunity to design, build, and scale an integrated capabilities function that powers a modern, data-driven, and high-performance workplace across a complex, mission-driven enterprise.
You will operate in a high-growth, technology-forward environment within the government space, where workplace strategy directly enables mission delivery, innovation, and enterprise performance. You will also lead the execution of a flagship corporate headquarters project, one of the most high-profile initiatives in the company. This role is highly strategic but grounded in execution requiring a leader who can translate vision into scalable capabilities, drive outcomes through an outsourced delivery model, and operate as a true owner of performance. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of capital projects across the portfolio, including oversight of major corporate headquarters development.
  • Establish governance, execution standards, and performance expectations across outsourced project delivery teams.
  • Drive schedule, cost, and quality outcomes with a focus on risk management and transparency.
  • Own enterprise space planning, occupancy management, and portfolio optimization capabilities.
  • Translate business demand signals into actionable space strategies aligned to mission and workforce needs.
  • Build scalable planning models that enable proactive portfolio decisions.
  • Define and own the workplace technology stack, including IWMS, occupancy analytics, and user experience platforms.
  • Ensure systems are integrated, actionable, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with CIO and enterprise tech teams to modernize and scale workplace digital capabilities.
  • Serve as a senior leader accountable for delivery of a next-generation corporate headquarters.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across real estate, security, IT, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ensure the project sets the standard for future workplace environments across the enterprise.
  • Architect and build a best-in-class workplace capabilities function across design, planning, and technology.
  • Establish operating models, governance, KPIs, and performance management frameworks.
  • Drive maturity from fragmented execution to integrated, capability-led delivery.
  • Lead through an integrated service provider model across multiple service lines.
  • Set clear expectations, enforce accountability, and ensure delivery excellence.
  • Operate as the true owner of outcomes, not a vendor liaison.

Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • 12+ years of experience across workplace, real estate, capital project delivery, or facilities management within complex enterprise environments
  • Experience with design and construction delivery, or large-scale capital programs
  • Experience overseeing space planning, occupancy, or portfolio strategy functions
  • Experience owning or governing workplace technology platforms such as IWMS, occupancy analytics, and workplace tools
  • Experience with an end-to-end operational capability, including capital delivery programs, planning functions, or workplace tech platforms, from design through implementation and sustained adoption, with measurable business impact
  • Experience operating in highly matrixed, cross-functional environments with senior stakeholder engagement
  • Experience driving execution, accountability, and measurable outcomes
  • Ability to lead through outsourced service providers and drive performance at scale
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience delivering large-scale enterprise hubs or corporate headquarters projects
  • Experience in government contracting, regulated environments, or secure facilities such as SCIF environments
  • Experience with integrated service provider models such as CBRE, JLL, and Cushman and Wakefield
  • Experience building or transforming a function, including operating model design, governance, and KPI frameworks
  • Experience with workplace analytics, AI-enabled planning, or predictive portfolio strategy
  • Experience with platforms such as ServiceNow Workplace, Serraview, Archibus, Planon, or similar
  • Experience partnering with CIO or IT organizations on enterprise technology initiatives
