Job description
The Branford Y is seeking a passionate and energetic Sports & Rec Instructor to lead and facilitate sports activities for our youth and family programs. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with children and fostering a positive, active, and engaging environment. The Youth Sports Instructor will play a key role in promoting skill development, teamwork, and a love for physical activity in a fun and inclusive setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and assisting in youth sports activities, including curriculum development and scheduling.
- Ensuring a safe and positive environment for all participants.
- Setting up and maintaining equipment and activity areas.
- Engaging with parents and guardians professionally to address any questions or concerns.
- Evaluating program effectiveness and assisting with program improvements.
- Supporting YMCA events and initiatives as needed.
