Job description

Primary Purpose
Sets technology strategy for the department, aligning vision and priorities with organizational goals, influencing investment decisions, and championing innovation across the enterprise.
With the successful SAP RISE deployment and the establishment of the ERP Center of Expertise (CoE), Sempra Infrastructure is creating a pivotal leadership role to shape the ongoing evolution and strategic direction of its enterprise ERP ecosystem. The Director, ERP CoE is accountable for the overall stability, scalability, and value realization of the SAP platform, ensuring the organization maximizes its ERP investment.
The ERP CoE serves as a trusted business partner and innovation leader, delivering high quality and reliable ERP solutions that enable enterprise agility and measurable business outcomes. This role focuses on building strong partnerships with business leaders, aligning ERP capabilities to strategic objectives, and leading a team of SAP professionals across functional enablement and the supporting technology landscape to drive continuous improvement and long-term success.
This position reports directly to the Vice President, Technology, Cybersecurity and Chief Information Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sets and enforces technology standards, ensuring they are clearly defined, maintained, and implemented across the organization.
  • Provides expert input and facilitates the adoption of technology standards and innovations, supporting successful implementation.
  • Translates high-level strategies into actionable technology strategic plans, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements and organizational goals.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership and key business stakeholders to define and communicate the technology strategy, vision, and roadmap.
  • Defines the terms of reference for technology delivery, securing necessary approvals from governance bodies and ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
  • Monitors industry trends and technological advancements, assessing their potential impact on the organization and making informed recommendations.
  • Ensures that technology initiatives are fit-for-purpose and adaptable, reflecting the evolving needs of a broad range of stakeholders within the organization.
  • Champions a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the technology function, encouraging the adoption of best practices and cutting-edge solutions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
  • Requires a 4 year degree.

Experience
  • Typically requires 12 years of related experience.
