The Auto Mechanic will independently service and maintain passenger cars and light trucks, performing detailed vehicle diagnostics and repairs. Utilizing manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools and general OBD-II scanners, the mechanic will ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently through routine maintenance, brake system repairs, and parts replacement, all while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer-specific tools and OBD-II scanners
• Inspect and repair brake systems to ensure safety compliance
• Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations
• Replace faulty parts and components with precision
• Maintain tools and equipment to optimal working condition

Required Qualifications

• Proficient in engine diagnostics and brake system repairs
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective customer communication abilities
• Experienced in using diagnostic tools and software

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in auto mechanics
• Valid driver's license
