Maxima Therapy Inc. is seeking dedicated and motivated Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) for full-time and part-time positions to join our collaborative, interdisciplinary Early Start team. Our team includes speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, child development specialists, and assistants. In this role, the PTA works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide developmentally appropriate interventions to infants and toddlers ages 0โ3 with physical, motor, or developmental needs who qualify for Early Start services under Part C of IDEA. The PTA delivers therapy both in-person and remotely, assists in implementing individualized treatment plans, documents progress, and supports families in promoting skill carryover in daily routines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans based on childโs evaluations for ages 0-3 years of age, in alignment with their regional center Individual Family Service Plan.
- Perform therapeutic exercises and activities as prescribed, ensuring correct techniques and safety.
- Educate children and their families about home exercise programs, posture, and injury prevention, per PT recommendations
- Monitor and document child progress during sessions
- Conduct 1:1 physical therapy in childโs homes or various community settings.
- Record childโs responses to treatments, including progress notes
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments or managing child intake forms when needed.
Pay Rate
The professional rate for this position is up to $65/hr for time spent in sessions providing therapy services directly to the client; drive time and mileage reimbursement will be compensated at the applicable minimum wage and mileage reimbursement rate. The actual wage rate offered will vary based on several key factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's skill set, proficiency in relevant languages, years of professional experience, and the geographical location of the candidate.
