This position assists the Program Director of Health & Wellness in administrative, fiscal, and personnel matters. The Department consists of Counseling Services, Health Services, Victim Advocacy, and Campus Fitness and Recreation.
Examples of Duties
The position provides direct administrative support in providing service to the students. The position requires a high level of expertise in handling and storing education and medical records while supporting the office operations and outside vendors. Has budgetary responsibilities for prevention and health promotion, case management, and the ALC. In addition, this person will be assisting in the health and wellness compliance programs for student athletes and international students. This position will also provide reports and updates to the program director and associate director of HWC.
The position has direct interactions with students on a daily basis ranging from checking in students for appointments, providing on and off campus resources, and support in scheduling appointments for medical and counseling. This position provides assistance to the medical staff to maintain proper oversight of policy and procedure. Is critical in coordination during medical and mental health crises in the building. Proper and effective facilitation of the HWC is critical in the outcomes the services provide. The position is critical in ensuring the HWC functions properly and effectively, which in turn supports student's experiences receiving medical and mental health care. Healthy students are more likely to be retained.
The position has the responsibility to not only ensure budgets are properly followed, but to run the center as efficiently as possible while still maintaining the proper budgetary rules and regulations of the State of Florida. This position is critical in maintaining policy and procedures.
The position is specific to administrative support, budgetary coordination with HR, and compliance with medical and education records. Others in the department are trained for specific direct service such as counseling, medical, or health education.

Minimum Qualifications
Years of experience in both higher education and in office management and thus should have insight into staff engagement and satisfaction.
