What Artisan Is
We're building AI employees. Not chatbots. Not copilots. Autonomous digital workers that do real jobs.
Our first, Ava, is an AI BDR used by hundreds of companies. She researches leads, writes and sends emails in a customer's voice, runs multi-step outbound sequences, manages her own deliverability infrastructure, self-optimizes over time, and handles objections and meeting booking. She's not a tool someone uses. She's a teammate.
We're a YC W24 company, have raised $35M+ from investors including Y Combinator, and are at $8M+ ARR. Right now we're building Ava 2.0, a step change in what an AI employee can do. The engineering problems are hard and the surface area is enormous.
The RoleYou'll be a core part of the growth team at Artisan. This is a foundational growth hire.
We're known for our marketing, and this role exists to double down on it. You'll own how Artisan grows - from first touch to expansion - and work directly with the CEO and growth team to design and execute a strategy that takes Artisan from $7M $25M+ ARR in the next 12 months.
Growth at Artisan spans acquisition, conversion, product-led loops, and brand. You'll own all of it.
What that looks like concretely:
Growth strategy across channels.
Own the full growth strategy across paid, organic, brand, and product-led motions.
Acquisition at scale.
Scale inbound demand through performance marketing, SEO, lifecycle marketing, virality loops, and bold stunts (e.g. our "Stop Hiring Humans" billboards).
Conversion optimization.
Build and optimize funnels across web, product, and sales hand-off. Instrument every step and improve it with data.
Product-led growth.
Design onboarding flows, paywall moments, and in-product upsell and expansion paths to drive PLG adoption.
Brand & community.
Turn Artisan into a cult brand. Architect viral campaigns, UGC loops, and social dominance across LinkedIn, X, and beyond.
Analytics & experimentation.
Build the growth model, own the dashboards, and run continuous experiments across every channel.
2+ years of experience in growth, marketing, or a similar role
A creative, out-of-the-box thinker who enjoys testing unconventional ideas
High grit and hunger - willing to work hard and take ownership
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building from zero
Strong communicator who can work directly with leadership
You're not joining a growth team - you're helping shape it. This role has direct ownership over how Artisan scales.
You'll work directly with the CEO on one of the most important problems in the company: growth.
The scope is real and the stakes are high. What you build will directly affect revenue, brand, and product adoption.
