We are seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Machinist Operator to join our manufacturing team in Pittsburgh, PA. The CNC Machinist Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision metal and plastic components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience reading blueprints, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC machines including mills and lathes to produce parts according to specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
Measure finished products using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
Adjust machine settings to maintain production accuracy and efficiency
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Document production data and report any issues to supervisors
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
1–3+ years of CNC machining or machine operation experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Experience using precision measuring instruments
Basic knowledge of CNC programming (G-code knowledge is a plus)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical or vocational training in machining or manufacturing
Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines
Knowledge of machining metals such as steel, aluminum, and alloys
