Job Summary:
Fox Corporation is a leading media company that produces and distributes content through various renowned brands. They are seeking a Senior Manager, Analytics Instrumentation to lead the data squad supporting FOX Sports, modernizing data collection and governance practices across platforms while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the data squad supporting FOX Sports, including prioritization, execution, and delivery of analytics instrumentation work
• Partner with data leadership to modernize analytics instrumentation standards, processes, and platform capabilities
• Translate FOX Sports and FOX One business needs into clear technical requirements, data definitions, and implementation plans
• Establish and improve standards for tracking, data quality, documentation, governance, and reusable instrumentation practices
• Collaborate with product, engineering, analytics, and business teams to support accurate and scalable data collection
• Lead engineering and stakeholder discussions to ensure technical solutions align with business priorities
• Use analytics tools, tag management systems, and data orchestration tools to support reliable data capture and downstream usage
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and reduce redundancy across data processes
• Mentor team members and provide thought leadership as FOX’s data organization continues to evolve
• Stay current with developments in analytics instrumentation, tag management, optimization, privacy, and data management
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong experience in analytics instrumentation, data collection, standardized reporting, and modern data infrastructure
• Experience leading data-focused initiatives, squads, or cross-functional workstreams
• Strong understanding of web analytics fundamentals, including tags, cookies, data attributes, data layers, variables, identity, event tracking, and privacy considerations
• Excellent SQL skills and strong data transformation capabilities
• Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and HTML
• Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Segment, Adobe Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or similar platforms
• Ability to understand how instrumentation decisions impact downstream data platforms, reporting, and analytics
• Business-facing experience working with product, engineering, analytics, and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable recommendations
• Comfort operating in a data modernization environment where tools, standards, and ways of working are evolving
• Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace a minimum of 3 days per week is an essential function of the position. Selected candidate must be able to reliably meet this requirement.
Preferred:
• Experience supporting sports, media, streaming, or direct-to-consumer digital products
• Experience with live event, video, subscription, or consumer-facing digital data products
• Experience supporting data governance, data quality, or platform migration initiatives
• Experience with experimentation, optimization, personalization, customer journey analytics, or audience data activation
• Experience with databricks, snowflake or similar data lake and data warehouse technologies
