Position Overview
The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function by managing routine, recurring, and detail-oriented HR tasks. This role ensures that core HR processes are completed accurately, tracked consistently, and followed through from start to finish.
Working closely with the Executive Director of Human Resources, this position focuses on coordination, documentation, follow-up, and employee support across multiple HR areas.

Classification Full Time, Exempt
Work hours: 40 hours per week – Hybrid (Boston, MA)
Annual Salary: ($65,000 - $75,000) plus, Employer contributes 13.2% of gross salary to a 401(a)-employee retirement plan. (Vested 100% on day 1 of hire)
Key Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Recruitment amp; Onboarding
  • Post positions, screen resumes, and coordinate interviews
  • Communicate with candidates and track hiring progress
  • Coordinate New Hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Ensure all onboarding steps are completed and documented
Benefits amp; Leave Administration
  • Respond to employee benefits inquiries and process enrollments/changes
  • Support Payroll with retirement contributions
  • Open enrollment and Coordinate with brokers and vendors to resolve issues
  • Track employee leaves (FMLA, PFML, etc.) and monitor documentation and timelines
  • Support with maintaining accurate and compliant records
  • Maintain and update employee data in HRIS (Paycor), including hires, terminations, and changes
General HR Support
  • Respond to day-to-day HR inquiries
  • Support with Professional Development program
  • Prepare routine employee documentation and reporting
  • Track and follow up on HR requests to ensure completion
  • Support compliance tracking and recordkeeping
Performance Management Support
  • Track review timelines and follow up with managers
  • Monitor completion of evaluations
  • Maintain job descriptions and related documentation
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks
  • Organized and process-oriented
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Discretion and sound judgment
Minimum qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of HR experience
  • Experience supporting recruitment, benefits, and HR operations
  • Familiarity with leave administration and HR compliance
  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Paycor
