POSITION SUMMARY:The Electrical Manufacturing Engineering Intern supports the Manufacturing Engineering team in improving production processes, enhancing efficiency, and maintaining safe and effective operations within a manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on experience in applying engineering principles to real-world production challenges while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.Â

WHAT YOU WILL DO:Â
- Assist in monitoring manufacturing processes and identifying issuesÂ
- Support basic troubleshooting and production activities under supervisionÂ
- Help document and standardize work practices and proceduresÂ
- Assist with workstation layout, line balance, and production flowÂ
- Participate in production meetings and complete follow-up actionsÂ
- Support investigations into process performance and efficiencyÂ
- Assist with tool and equipment coordinationÂ
- Help maintain production documentation (e.g., kit lists, takt charts, SOPs)Â
- Complete assigned tasks and projects aligned with internship goalsÂ
- Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:Â
- Currently pursuing post-secondary education in Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldÂ
- Strong interest in manufacturing  environmentsÂ
- Eagerness to learn and apply technical conceptsÂ
- Basic understanding of manufacturing or continuous improvement (Lean is an asset)Â
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindsetÂ
- Effective communication and teamwork skillsÂ
- Experience with ERP or quality management systems such as Syspro or Q-Pulse is an assetÂ
