Yamhill County Health & Human Services is seeking an innovative and dynamic manager to lead the
Community Health programs in the Public Health Division. Ideal candidates will have experience
working with diverse communities and stakeholders, knowledge of fiscal and regulatory systems, the
ability to monitor contracts, and skill in program design and evaluation as well as community health
assessment and quality improvement. Critical duties include training and supervising staff, and
following local, state, and federal regulations in order to improve health outcomes. The position
works closely with the Health Officer as well as members of the HHS leadership team and reports
directly to the HHS Deputy Director who serves as the Public Health Administrator.

Desirable qualities include a commitment to creating and working in a collaborative team environment
with an emphasis on consensus-based decision-making. The ideal candidate will be intuitive,
flexible, adaptable, and able to exercise good judgement with skills and/or talents in personnel
development and supervision.

Applicants should have at least five years of relevant experience with progressive responsibilities in
program administration or supervision. Preference will be given to individuals with demonstrated
leadership in community-based and clinical public health services. Additional preference will be
given for individuals with experience in communicable disease prevention, health promotion, alcohol,
drug, and gambling prevention, and environmental health and preparedness activities. Relevant
Master’s degree preferred. Appropriate Bachelor’s degree required.

Salary: $5219 - $5871/month anticipated at hire, depending on experience. Excellent benefits include

compensation options. This is a non-bargaining position.
