Customer Service Spanish Bi-lingual

VXI is hiring temporary bilingual Spanish customer service representatives in our Downtown Los Angeles location to support with hurricane relief efforts. You must be a U.S. citizen and be able to successfully pass a Federal background investigation. It is a requirement that all disaster personnel be U.S. citizens and to be able to successfully pass a background investigation.

 

Pay: Hourly Rate $18.45 per hour

This is a temporary customer service position that will last approximately 1 - 3 months 

 

As a Bilingual Spanish Customer Service Representative, you will work in a call center as part of FEMA supporting the thousands of people and families impacted by the devastation of recent Hurricanes while earning a great wage to contribute to your own family welfare.

 

Your earnings will consist of:

  • $18.45 hourly wage
  • Opportunity to earn 10 days of sick leave
  • Overtime is paid at 1.5 x base wage (if applicable)

Responsibilities for a Temporary Bilingual Spanish Customer Service Representative:

  • Serves as the primary customer support for people inquiring about disaster assistance by phone
  • Interview disaster victims over the phone who have been affected by a declared disaster
  • Ability to be empathetic and patient is key to helping them on the road to recovery
  • Aide individuals registering for assistance through phone, live chat, email or even social media
  • Provide referrals as needed for secondary support organizations and agencies

Requirements for a Temporary Bilingual Spanish Customer Service Representative:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Requires US Citizenship and 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Good credit history
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required.
  • Full-Time position up to 40 hours a week
  • Superior communication and customer service skills exhibiting a high level of both empathy and professionalism
  • Strong computer literacy

 

Candidates must be U.S. citizens and be able to successfully pass a Federal background investigation. FEMA requires all disaster personnel to be U.S. citizens and to be able to successfully pass a background investigation. Candidates will be required to disclose personal information including criminal records, credit issues, residential, employment, social and medical history.
