Chris Kyle Patriots Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska is recruiting a new Psychiatrist for its inpatient treatment program. The patient population will be adult ages 18 years and older and patients are active military service members and veterans. psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment issues.Chris Kyle Patriots Hospital provides an intensive dual track treatment program for military service members and veterans, who have experienced trauma and are in need of detoxification and/or rehabilitation for substance abuse. At its foundation, our program provides intensive trauma-focused multi-disciplinary treatment (i.e., psychotherapy, nursing, psychiatric and spiritual) with the goal to improve patients’ overall resiliency. Holistic in nature, the Chris Kyle Patriots Hospital provides services that enhance the mind, strengthen the body, and empower the spirit.Position Highlights:• Initial psychiatric evaluations on new patients.• Follow-up treatment including brief psychotherapy and/or medication management with patients under care.• Administrative duties of treatment team, care documentation, and medical staff meetings.• Shared call rotation with other physicians for week nights and weekends.• Compensation package to include base salary; insurances for health, vision, dental, etc.; malpractice insurance coverage; PTO; CME days and financial support; sign on bonus; relocation; and bonus opportunity. Student loan assistance is negotiable.• Ideal candidates to be Board Eligible/Certified in General and/or Addiction Psychiatry with suboxone certification and interest in working with active and veteran military patient groups.Chris Kyle Patriots Hospital is part of the North Star Behavioral Health System.
