Windsor Laurelwood Center for Behavioral Medicine in Willoughby, OH is recruiting a General Adult Psychiatrist for our acute inpatient unit to better serve the community’s behavioral health needs.

The General Psychiatry Physician position is a fulltime employed position with Monday – Friday schedule. Patient care caseload will patients in the inpatient Chemical Dependency program. Duties include admissions evaluations, daily care of the assigned patients, discharge summaries, and treatment team leadership and management. A very competitive compensation package of salary and benefits with bonus opportunity will be offered. The ideal candidate will be BE/BC in Psychiatry and experience in an Inpatient behavioral health facility is a plus. All patient care is provided in a multidisciplinary treatment setting the team comprised of psychiatrists, counselors, professional nurses, social workers and other therapists. There is minimal required call and all call is by phone.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The qualifications for the position are the minimum requirements needed to be successful in the position. The level of experience and expertise for the job is determined by the current amount of expertise in the unit/department. If training or experience is not required but would be desirable, it is listed as preferred however; persons without preferred background will be considered in the hiring process.

Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications).

  1. MD/DO degree from an accredited program required
  2. Board certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry required
  3. Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio
  4. Minimum of four years of training/practice experience
  5. Inpatient experience preferred
  6. Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians
