WE DON'T TRAIN TEACHERS – WE TRAIN GREAT TEACHERS

TNTP Teaching Fellows bring academics alive. Ignite a love of learning. And prove, every day, that all students can excel. It’s an honor and a tremendous responsibility, which is why we hold the highest standards for effective teaching of any teacher preparation program in America

We believe teaching is an honor and a privilege, which is why we hold the highest standards of any training program in America. We look for accomplished individuals who possess the skills and deep content knowledge to teach critical subjects where great teachers are often in short supply, like science, math, and special education.

We are particularly interested in candidates with the dedication and knowledge required to teach high-need STEM subjects, including math, chemistry, physics, and biology.

You may have built a successful career in healthcare, finance or engineering, and now wish to give back as a teacher. Or you could be a recent graduate who wants to share a passion for mathematics, computer science or physics with students. Whatever your background, you believe that every student can excel in math and science and you will do whatever it takes to help them get there!

    • Classroom-Centered Training: Our training is radically simple: focused practice on key skills, knowledge, and mindsets to get new teachers off to a strong start. Where traditional teacher preparation leaves little time for hands-on skill-building, our innovative training is centered around actual teaching experience and focused practice on core skills, such as reflecting on students’ values, experiences, and ambitions to create opportunities for students to see themselves in challenging content that will prepare them for success.

    • Flexible Teaching Locations: With programs throughout the U.S., Teaching Fellows can choose to teach and live in a city that fits their interests. Though our programs share a common mission, they are as unique as the communities they serve.

    • Certification that Counts: We hold the highest standards for certification of any program in the country. Upon graduating our programs, Teaching Fellows are recognized not simply as certified teachers, but as having a proven track record of classroom success.

    • Full Salary and Benefits: Teaching Fellows will begin earning a full teacher’s salary, starting at $34,000-60,000, plus comprehensive benefits, while pursuing certification when they start working full-time at a district or charter school this fall.
