Practice Details
This practice is a part a multispecialty group with practices throughout central Michigan.
Seeking Hospital Medicine Physician for Physicians Group to work full-time in Midland, Michigan to provide care for patients including evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients in the clinic, hospital, and in-patient setting. Hospital Medicine Physicians may also admit patients, conduct rounds and discharge hospital patients. They also prescribe medication for sick patients, monitor their recovery and read and interpret patient charts.
The duties performed by a Hospital Medicine Physician also include interviewing new patients, preparing new patients for treatment, preparing an outline for patient treatment and management, preparing and reviewing patient charts. Hospital Medicine Physicians may also visit, counsel and attend to patients admitted to the hospital on a daily basis, monitor the condition of such patients and recommend potential diagnoses. After patients are discharged, Hospital Medicine Physicians engage in follow-up activities with such patients, including monitoring their recovery and any developments in their condition after discharge.
Candidates must hold a valid degree in Medicine, must have completed three years of medical residency in internal medicine or related field, must be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Michigan, and be board eligible or certified. Foreign trained medical doctors must pass the Federal Licensing Examination (FLEX) or its equivalent, United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), and demonstrate competence in oral and written English by successfully completing the English language proficiency exam given by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. (ECFMG).
