      Description: Hiring an Adult Psychiatrist for an Inpatient mental health service unit. Through a very strong and reputable ambulatory crisis center in Westchester County, NY, the Department of Psychiatry provides comprehensive outpatient and inpatient mental health services, addiction treatment programs and crisis services. The inpatient opportunity has a 30-bed psychiatric unit, which provides a significant treatment program for adults with acute psychiatric symptoms who need hospitalization. Its patients are referred, voluntarily admitted, and involuntarily from their emergency room and surrounding community services.


      Responsibilities:



      • Perform thorough patient clinical histories and develops patient care charts
      • Coverage of affective & psychotic disorders, Crisis stabilization, dual focus, substance abuse & addiction
      • Work in col­lab­o­ra­tion with oth­er health-care pro­vid­ers with­in the clin­ical team
      • Assess and admit patients
      • Coverage of the inpatient psychiatric units for intermediate length of stays

      Educational Requirements:



      • Certified American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology
      • New York State Medical License

      Experience Requirements:



      • Minimum 2 years of experience
