Executive Director

Counties Providing Technology (CPT) is a joint powers entity made up of multiple Minnesota counties.  CPT provides customized programming, on-site and telephone support, management for information systems and consulting for hardware and software for public entities.

GENERAL OVERVIEW OF POSITION
Perform complex professional and administrative work in planning, directing and coordinating the policies and/or directives of CPT and the Joint Powers Board.  The Executive Director promotes the coordination between the Joint Powers Board and CPT employees and customers.  The Executive Director shall, with the approval of the Board, coordinate the various activities of the Board and unify the management of its affairs.  The Executive Director will be tasked with maintaining the software company in compliance with applicable statutes as well as integration of software in daily business operations.

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in information technology administration, business and/or public administration with major or minor interest in one of the following or related areas:  information technology, project management, financial administration, political science, accounting or economics with a minimum of three years’ experience in an administrative position or any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Master’s Degree in related field preferred.
  
EMPLOYMENT VARIABLES
The Executive Director is a non-union, exempt position.  The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 commensurate with training and experience.  CPT offers an excellent benefit package.
