Irrigation/Landscape Installation and Maintenance Supervisor – Task Description:

  • Directs laborers to complete jobs safely, work as assigned and correctly. Responsible for completion of daily documentation of work progress. Reports to Environmental Construction Group Manager about daily work.
  • After installation and services, monitor all aspects of the irrigation system and identify any problems.
  • As necessary, perform hands-on work with crews to meet work and scheduling demands.
  • Work with the Environmental Construction Group Manager to identify staffing needs, hire new crew, and prepare daily crew schedules.
  • Works primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ensure proper paperwork is completed for all employee changes and new hires.
  • Communicate with, counsel, train, discipline, review, and develop growth plan for employees.
  • Hands-on training and support of crew members, including proper operation of equipment, installation techniques, safety, and quality standards.
  • Focus on safety and monitor safety records.
  • Maintain and manage all required administrative systems, including but not limited to time sheets, job databases, and service schedules.      
  • Order materials as needed and monitor costs and deliveries.
  • Request purchase orders and use in accordance with company guidelines.                                      
  • Ensures the entire crew is following proper safety and precaution procedures.
  • Responsible for general upkeep and cleanliness of assigned company vehicles and equipment.
  • Completes any other duties assigned by Environmental Construction Group Manager.

Irrigation/Landscape Installation and Maintenance Supervisor – Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will exhibit mastery of all standard landscape equipment, possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history, have supervisory experience, a strong work ethic, be self-directed, and enjoy working outdoors. Additionally, candidates with the ability to read plans, install hardscape, design and install irrigation as well as build retaining walls and paver patios will be given more consideration.

  • Must be able to lift more than 75 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required; CDL Class A license is a plus.
  • Be available to work long, irregular hours and occasional weekend shifts.
  • Good communication skills and an ability to work well with others.
  • Applicant must be able to pass a background check, drug test, physical exam, and government employment verification.
  • Must live within 30 miles of the I-25 and SH 52 interchange and have reliable transportation
