DYNAMIC AND FAST GROWING ORGANIZATION!

Silverstrand Construction is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Project Manager. The ideal candidate for this position must have experience working with Army Corps of Engineers and NAVFAC, (i.e. JOC, POCA, MACC, MATOC, and IDIQ's) must possess strong leadership skills, have proven track record of managing profitable work, be able to maintain positive inter-office and client relationships, and provide a smooth transition of complete information to the executive team. This position is accountable for all aspects of a project's success from monitoring the initial proposal/bidding process to meet or exceed the client's expectations to the profitable completion of the jobs with a special emphasis on Safety and Performance. Knowledge of the local regulations and local contacts (Owners, Designers, Subcontractors, etc.) is very important.

Job Duties:

  • Manages overall project performance (scope, safety, quality, schedule, design, budget, and customer satisfaction).
  • Serves as single point-of-contact establishing good communication and customer service.
  • Manages onsite vendors, field personnel, and subcontractors to ensure level of performance is within project scope.
  • Builds effective relationships with customers, design team, vendors, subcontractors, and user groups that support company core values and meets customer's expectations.
  • Reports project status and performance data as required to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensures compliance with the Silverstrand Construction established Project Management Methodology (PMM).
  • Plans, monitors, and controls the project throughout its life-cycle.
  • Running a small or large project from $500,000 to $10 million dollars.
  • Assist in the marketing and business development activities as required.
  • Estimate and proposal development including analyzing scope documents and technical writing.

Required Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in general building construction for public works, federal government, and negotiated projects, ranging from $50,000-$10 million dollars.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Advance knowledge and experience in construction industry.
  • Project Management Methodology required.
  • Ability to review and understand customer's drawings and contract language.
  • Ability to commit to short term travel.
  • Proficient understanding of CPM scheduling and software applications (Primavera, MS Project) is beneficial.
