Job Description


Shure Incorporated is a leader in providing advanced audio conferencing solutions.  The Manager, Audio Visual Services will design, manage and maintain the integration of A/V conference room and streaming technologies, ensuring a consistent and positive end-user experience across all Shure global locations.  In addition to supporting productivity conferencing solutions, this role will support our Customer Experience Centers.  The Manager, Audio/Visual Services must have a strong focus on customer service, possess the ability to establish and maintain trust, and build relationships at all levels of the organization. Further, the Manager, Audio/Visual Services will partner with internal Product Development and Product Management teams to provide IT-based feedback and guide global installations and support by qualifying and managing global AV integrator relationships. Shure Incorporated headquarters is located in Niles, IL with locations across the globe.

Representative Duties:

  • Helps to define strategies and determines direction for A/V solutions using current and emerging technologies through research and proactive management of vendor relationships to recommend technologies aimed to improve stability, usability and operability of the company’s A/V technologies.
  • Leverages experience working within highly converged networks supporting voice and video network traffic to recommend emerging technology solutions.
  • Identifies global use cases for conference room technologies and determines appropriate technical solutions.
  • Partners with Shure’s internal Facilities, Product Development, and Product Management teams to incorporate Shure products into Shure’s conference rooms, providing feedback to these teams from a “Shure customer” perspective.
  • Manages A/V vendor, integrator and partner relationships.
  • Leads projects to implement, standardize and improve A/V technologies.
  • Creates and maintains system diagram, configuration and end-user documentation.
  • Delivers a quality customer experience and enhances user adoption by developing training materials and delivering Associate training for A/V technologies.
  • Leverages comprehensive troubleshooting experience and knowledge of PCs, local-area networks, video conferencing equipment, cabling and other components to resolve systemic issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience with comprehensive knowledge in A/V environments performing planning, architecture design, environmental and acoustical room preparation, implementation and optimization showing progression in responsibility.
  • Prior experience with Cisco IP phones and video conferencing, Crestron, Lutron, Biamp products.
  • Experience working with Crestron integrated A/V rooms.
  • Working knowledge of A/V management software such as Crestron Fusion.
  • Familiarity with Shure conferencing products.
  • Familiar with network hardware, network security and networking concepts.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well with others at all levels within Shure’s business.
  • Strong customer service skills and focus.
  • Comfortable working within a culturally and geographically diverse environment.
