Overview:
We are currently seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with the ability to practice both autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of health providers on the interprofessional team to deliver high-quality, holistic, evidence-based anesthesia and pain care services. The CRNA cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management.
All candidates should have in-depth knowledge of administering anesthesia to patients undergoing a variety of surgical or non-surgical procedures. To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate must demonstrate good judgment and the ability to respond appropriately to stressful conditions.
Schedule:
- Ongoing position starting in February
- Call schedule: 7p-7a weekday (30% call back) and 7a-7p on weekends (80% call back).
- CRNA will take weekday call approximately once a month and twice a year on weekends.
-Shift Schedule: 10 or 12 hour shifts available
- Guaranteed 40hr work week; except for holiday weeks
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute an effective anesthetic plan.
• Manage patient's airway and respiratory status.
• Monitor patients before, during and after a medical procedure.
• Prepare operating rooms, set up equipment, layout supplies, and prepare necessary gases.
• Perform regular patient visits and legibly record findings in the patient records.
• Request and assess diagnostic tests.
• Remain up-to-date with the latest advances in the anesthesia field including the introduction of new medical equipment and techniques.
• Maintain up-to-date case logs.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required
• Active MA license is required
• Board Certification is required
• PALS, ACLS and BLS certifications are required
• Working knowledge of EPIC is strongly preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience working as a CRNA is preferred.
