Job Title: Director of Health Care Services Job Description: Primarily responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of hospice care in all settings, as well as the oversight and evaluation of such care with the goal of continuous improvement. Responsible for the hiring, orientation, training and evaluation of qualified employees to provide patient/family care in accordance with applicable law and regulation, accepted standards of practice. Primarily responsible for evaluating the care provided to ensure that it is in compliance with established policies and procedures; reflects accepted standards of hospice clinical practice; complies with law and regulation and contract provisions; as well as applicable government guidelines (e.g., CDC, OSHA). Required Skills & Experience (the “must haves” to be considered): 1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred. 2. Active license to practice as an RN in Michigan 3. 1- 2 years of hospice experience as a Registered Nurse within the last seven 7 years preferred, or as prescribed by state law and regulation if such exceeds these requirements. 4. Three 3 years of hospice or related health care organization experience managing caregivers within the last five 5 years. 5. Knowledge of the scope of regulations, and standards of practice that apply to hospice care and the scope of services provided.
