Emerging Leaders Program Internships provide an opportunity for 2019 graduates to explore the Nielsen environment and gain insight into the full time Emerging Leaders Program Human Resources track.

    Program Summary

    The Human Resources track is a challenging Internship program designed to develop leaders who will position Nielsen for growth. As a Human Resources intern, you will work with Nielsen businesses to help us attract, engage and develop the talent we need to grow and help our clients compete more effectively.

    Intern assignments will be project-oriented and focus on the Human Resources Centers of Excellence including: Talent Engagement and Development, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, or People Analytics. Assignments vary according to business need and intern qualifications; all are designed to stretch your skills, and to support your professional development by providing clear goals and actionable feedback on your performance.

    In addition, you will be participating in a program that encompasses:

    • A ten week summer assignment in one of the following locations: Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH area, New York, NY area, or Tampa, FL area.
    • Development of personal and professional skills through training, networking and mentoring relationships.
    • Interactions with senior leaders during intern activities such as lunch-and-learn events and leadership dialogues.
    • The opportunity to build teamwork skills through participation in intern projects and community service events.

  • Qualifications

    To apply for an internship, you should be an undergraduate with an anticipated graduation date of 2020 with a Human Resources related discipline. You must also meet the requirements for the full-time Emerging Leaders Program. These requirements include:

    • Strong record of academic achievement (minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA)
    • Significant leadership role in collegiate extra-curricular activities
    • Enthusiasm and flexibility to pursue a challenging career in various locations; willingness and ability to travel extensively
    • Intellectual curiosity, flexibility, and creativity
    • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
    • Demonstrated skill in project management
    • Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
    • Permanent work authorization in the U.S.
