Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
As a Late Researcher, you will work directly with Associate Producers, Producers and Senior Producers to help write/edit and assist in the production of original content for TODAY. The shift for this position is Sunday through Thursday, 2pm-11pm.

Assist in producing original news content, primarily for broadcast, including research, conducting interviews and supporting field producing and shooting
Pitch story ideas and work on assigned stories developed by the editorial team
Gather all show elements for the live guest producers (stills, videos, breaking news elements)
Coordinate with the late/overnight researchers and help with last minute b-roll requests or fixes
Coordinate with News Channel and Affiliate Relations for show-specific promotional material
Cut video elements for various live news segments

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication, English, History or a related field of study
- Must have at least one year experience working alone and with an editor AND working in production, at the network or syndication level
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, as researchers consistently work against deadlines, and often in breaking news situations
