Position Title:  Linen Production – Catch, Sort, Fold & Iron

Reports to:  Linen Production Supervisor

Department:  Linen

General Position Summary

The Linen Production position is responsible for effectively performing tasks such as catching, sorting, folding and ironing linens to meet quality standards.

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

• Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with coworkers and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Respectfully takes direction from supervisor.

Employee may be hired for one specific area and may be crossed train to perform all job functions listed below.

Production Catch

• Meets required piece per operating hour (PPOH) standards.
• Responsible for counting, sizing, wrapping and hanging items.
•        Quality control checks linens accordingly to meet standards.
•        Completes the necessary paperwork for invoicing.

Production Sort

•        Identifies orders to be processed by weighing, sorting and labeling linens.

Production Fold & Iron

•        Meets required piece per operating hour (PPOH) standards.
•        Follows specific customer requirements for folding linens.
•           Feeds the linens through the iron.
•        Quality control checks linens accordingly to meet standards.
•     Stacks and wraps linens accordingly based on customer requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements

•        High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or 1 to 3 months related experience preferred.
•        Possess minimal skills necessary to operate a computer.  Can log on to a computer system, navigate in windows, perform simple tasks within applications and enter information into a database.
