Chair, Department of Radiology
The renowned Department of Radiology of the North Bronx Healthcare Network, comprised of Jacobi Medical Center (JMC) a 457-bed teaching hospital & its sister facility the North Central Bronx Hospital (NCBH) a 215 -bed community hospital, seeks a creative and transformative leader with outstanding clinical skills, academic credentials, and executive acumen to assume the position of Chair.
The Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM) with over 40 residency training and fellowship programs is the Academic partner for all teaching and research endeavors.
The Department is accredited by the American College of Radiology for its mammography and breast ultrasound imaging programs. It trains residents in an ACGME accredited radiology residency program and has large ongoing inpatient and ambulatory clinical programs.
Responsibilities:
•Reporting to the Network Medical Director and Network CEO, the successful candidate will oversee all professional and administrative activities within the Department, including the delivery of high quality, safe and efficient patient care.
•Overseeing along with the Residency Director our radiology residency program.
•Acting as a Senior Medical Liaison with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine
•Promoting quality research initiatives.
•Providing strategic direction for the department while creating clinical and business plans in concert with network administration
Qualifications:
Eligible for NYS license
Board Certified in Radiology
Eligible for appointment at the level of Associate Clinical Professor at AECOM
